Strong alias
An alternative name an authority publishes without a reliability warning, such as a former legal name.

Strong aliases are the names the authority considers usable for identification: previous legal names, trading names, well-established transliterations. A match against one is a more substantial finding than a match against a weak alias.
More substantial is still not conclusive. Companies share names across countries, and people share names with strangers. The alias narrows the field; the identifying details settle it.
