Ex-dividend date
The first day on which buying the shares no longer carries the right to the declared dividend.
Updated 2026-07-26
Dividend timing runs on several dates that are easy to confuse. The ex-date is the boundary: buy on or after it and the seller keeps the dividend.
It is set relative to the record date and depends on the settlement conventions of the market where the shares trade, which is why the same company's ex-date can differ between listings.
This site publishes dividend dates only where a filing states them. None of the sources currently connected publishes a machine-readable dividend calendar, so the dividend tool shows what the calendar actually holds and nothing more.
